October is here, and Taylor is heading into one of my favorite times of the year.
There is always something special about fall in our hometown — cooler mornings, community events, local businesses bringing people together, and plenty of opportunities to get outside and reconnect with neighbors.
I was raised here in Taylor, and while our community has certainly grown and changed over the years, that sense of connection is still one of the things I love most about calling Taylor home.
As a proud member of the Greater Taylor Chamber of Commerce, I wanted to share some of the events, activities and community news highlighted in the Chamber’s October 2 weekly newsletter — along with a few easy links so you can learn more and get involved.
A big thank you to the Greater Taylor Chamber of Commerce and its team for continuing to keep our community connected and informed. The Chamber describes this fall as an especially active season for Taylor, with opportunities to support local businesses, build relationships and participate in what’s happening around town. First, A Little Taylor Pride
If you attended Fiesta Taylor 2026, you already know what a great example it was of the spirit of our community.
The Chamber reports that more than 3,000 people gathered at Heritage Square Park for an evening celebrating culture, music, food and local businesses. Oct 2nd TCoC Newsletter
That is the Taylor I love — people showing up.
And there is plenty more ahead.

If you're looking for a direct way to make a difference here at home, this is a great local organization to know about.
Veterans Day Breakfast — November 11
Looking a little farther ahead, Graham D. Luhn American Legion Post 39 is planning its Veterans Day Breakfast for November 11.
Because of renovations at the Legion Hall, this year's breakfast is scheduled to take place at Knights of Columbus Hall, 2201 E. 4th Street in Taylor, from 7:00–9:00 AM, honoring all who served.
As a community, Taylor has a long tradition of supporting veterans and military families, and this is another event worth putting on the calendar.
METT: The Future of Manufacturing and Education
Taylor's growth isn't happening in isolation.
On November 4, the METT Community Conversation 2026 will bring leaders from Manor, Elgin and Taylor together to discuss the future of manufacturing and education.
The Chamber describes the event as a regional conversation connecting businesses, educators and community leaders to strengthen partnerships and continued regional success. Oct 2nd TCoC Newsletter
With the amount of investment and employment growth occurring east of Austin, these conversations matter enormously to Taylor's future.
More Community Events on the Horizon
The Chamber newsletter also highlights a busy lineup throughout October and November, including the Bluebonnet Horse Expo and Rescue Horse Training Challenge at the Williamson County Expo Center, the Tim Bartosh Memorial Golf Tournament, community fundraisers and additional local activities.
Rather than trying to keep track of everything in one place, here are several excellent Taylor-area calendars worth bookmarking:
- Greater Taylor Chamber of Commerce Events
- City of Taylor Community Connections Newsletter
- Williamson County Expo Center
- Old Taylor High
- Taylor Parks & Recreation
- Coupland Dance Hall
Those resources are also specifically recommended by the Chamber as places to follow local news and entertainment calendars. Oct 2nd TCoC Newsletter
Taylor's Business Community Keeps Growing
One of the more interesting parts of this week's Chamber update is the number of businesses and organizations continuing to join and invest in our area.
And I'm especially pleased to share that the Christi Davidson Real Estate Group was welcomed as a new Chamber member this month.
The Chamber described me as a top-producing Broker Associate and trusted real estate advisor serving Greater Austin and Taylor for nearly three decades. Oct 2nd TCoC Newsletter
That Chamber membership matters to me because Taylor isn't simply another market we serve.
This is home.
I grew up here. I've watched Taylor evolve. I've seen neighborhoods change, businesses open, families arrive, families stay, and generations of Taylor residents continue to build their lives here.
That's why our message is pretty simple:
Raised Here. Christi Knows Taylor.
Knowing Taylor means more than knowing the MLS.
It's understanding why one street feels different from another. It's knowing Taylor's history while also understanding where the community is heading. It's being connected to local businesses, neighborhoods, schools, landowners, builders and the people who make Taylor what it is.
And increasingly, it means helping people understand the extraordinary changes taking place throughout eastern Williamson County.
Thinking About Buying, Selling or Investing in Taylor?
Maybe you're thinking about moving to Taylor.
Maybe you've owned property here for decades and are wondering what all this growth means for its value.
Maybe you're considering selling land, buying acreage, purchasing a new home, investing in rental property or simply trying to understand what's changing around you.
That's where having someone who knows the community — not just the current inventory — can make a difference.
If you have a question, ask me.
It doesn't have to start with a listing appointment.
Sometimes the best real estate conversation starts with:
“Christi, what are you seeing?”
I'm always happy to talk Taylor.
